Lorcana Core format legal sets (2026)

The next rotation

Set 9–13 are expected to leave Core in the third quarter of 2027; the official announcement sets the date. New sets join Core on release without rotating the current ones out early.

How do reprints count?

Core goes by card name: a card from a rotated set is legal if it was reprinted (same name and version) in a Core set. 174 cards from rotated sets are still Core-legal this way, for example:

Core or Infinity?

Core is the main tournament format and uses only the newest sets; Infinity allows cards from every set, for players who want to keep using older cards. Both use the same deck rules: 60 cards, up to 4 copies of a card, at most two inks.

In the Deck Builder each deck is Core or Infinity: Core shows only the legal sets and flags rotated cards. Every card page also says whether the card is legal in Core.
